My Approach

The first step in our engagement is a conversation to learn about the overall project that you need help to accomplish. On this call, we’ll discuss your priorities and how you envision our work together. Engaging early in your progress allows for more strategic and creative thinking, but it is never too late to begin.

Our work will include three main phases:

1. Assess

We will begin by exploring your challenge, goals, purpose and timeline. I take a diagnostic approach, posing the right questions and listening attentively to understand all aspects of your project. Even in this initial phase, we will begin problem-solving by drawing on my extensive experience. Then, I'll share a written proposal that summarizes my findings and outlines the recommended action plan.

2. Strategize

The strategy portion of our work will vary somewhat based on the nature of your project. Regardless, this phase is all about helping you think through the messages you need to communicate and your existing channels. I'll help you to prioritize, clarify and reinforce critical information, so that it is clearly understood and empowers your employees to take action.

3. Implement

I often meet with additional stakeholders and subject matter experts to get a feel for your company’s culture. I can navigate even the most sensitive situations with confidentiality and respect for all involved. Once the necessary information has been gathered, we will start working on the elements of our action plan, identifying challenges and celebrating successes. You'll be well-prepared to roll out a new initiative thanks to compelling storytelling and message creation.
